Brief Description
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is inviting eligible candidates to apply online for 41 permanent posts of Assistant Section Officer. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online on or before 23-06-2025 , after making sure that they meet the concerned eligibility criteria.

Mode of Recruitment :
The selection process will consists of two stages: Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. Candidates must qualify in the Preliminary Exam to be eligible for the Main Exam. The final merit will be based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination and the interview (if applicable).
The Preliminary Examination will includes one objective-type paper comprising 150 questions from General Knowledge, General Science, and Mathematics — 50 questions from each subject. Each question carries one mark. The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 15 minutes. The paper will be available in both Hindi and English languages.
The Main Examination will divided into two papers. Paper 1 is General Hindi, which includes both objective and descriptive questions. Candidates must score min 30% to qualify, although these marks are not counted in the final merit. Paper 2 will consists of 100 multiple-choice questions from General Studies, General Science, and Mathematics. Both papers will be 2 hours and 15 minutes long, and questions are set in Hindi and English.
Fee Structure :
The application fee is Rs. 150 for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PH, and Female categories of Bihar State. For all other candidates, the fee is Rs. 600. Payment should be made online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.
How to Apply :
The offered capability may be used to submit online applications on or before 23-06-2025. Please carefully read the instructions before completing the application. The applicant should complete the online application by entering all of their personal and academic data in the appropriate parts in accordance with their certifications. The online application requires applicants to supply a scanned copy of their ID and signature. For future use, a hard copy of the online application should be kept.
