Mode of Recruitment :
Selection for the post will be based on merit in the written examination. In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the written test, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference in the merit list.
The written examination will carry a total of 100 marks and will be of 2 hours duration. The paper will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark. The distribution of questions will vary depending on the post applied for. The structure of the question paper is provided as :

The medium of the examination will be English for all posts, except for the post of Driver, where the questions will be in both English and Punjabi.
The examination will be conducted at Chandigarh. Each question will have four options – A, B, C, and D – and candidates must select only one correct option. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
There will be negative marking. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
Fee Structure :
Application fee is Rs 500/- for Physically Handicapped, Rs 200/- for Ex-Serviceman & Dependent, Rs 250/- for SC/BC/EWS and Rs 1000/- for other candidates. Fees should be paid online using debit card, credit card, net banking.
